GRADE SCALE
A = 93% Learning another language requires many connected practices.
B = 83% The national, state and county standards for proficiency in
C = 73% Spanish is based on your steady improvement through practice and
D = 63% performance in listening, speaking, reading, writing and culture.
CLASS POLICIES
1 Everything we do is for a grade.
2 Doing every activity improves your skills and understanding of Spanish. Your grade is performance-based.
The more carefully you do each activity, the more points are added to your grade.
3 Your preparation, interest, involvement, participation and performance are assessed daily.
4 Some type of out-of-class practice will be assigned every day to help you be ready to start the next class.
5 At the start of each class, there will be a warm-up to help you recall what we did the day before.
6 Absence requires a total makeup of all missed activities within one week of return, or all grades for the
day missed become zero.
7 All school rules, such as dress code, no cheating, no food or drink in class, and no profanity, are
respected here.
8 The teacher asks for your respect and cooperation at all times; please listen to and follow all directions;
please respond to the quiet signal.
9 We all use courtesy words and act in kind and helpful ways with each other.
10 Please feel free to ask to meet with the teacher before or after school any day..
